There are many French people among the parishioners of the Church of St. Louis on Malaya Lubyanka.
One of the parishioners told the Ekho Moskvy correspondent that he regrets the decision to close the church, but he treats this measure with understanding. He also added that he does not support the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
As a reminder, the temple is closed until November 4. The reason for this was unauthorized protests organized by Muslims at the French embassy. The audience criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, who expressed his own position on the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. On recordings made during the protests, shouts of "Allahu Akbar" are heard.
Earlier in France, an 18-year-old native of Chechnya cut off the head of the Parisian teacher Samuel Pati, who showed cartoons of Muhammad from the Charlie Edbo magazine during his lesson. Later, there was a series of attacks on citizens. In Nice, a native of Tunisia attacked parishioners of a Christian church with a knife, stabbing three. He managed to behead two of his victims before the police arrived. When detained, the raider shouted: Allah Akbar. Also, an Islamist attack on police officers took place in another French city - Avignon.
French President Emmanuel Macron called the murder of a teacher near Paris a terrorist attack. He posthumously introduced the deceased Party to the Order of the Legion of Honor. "Our compatriot was subjected to a cowardly attack, became a victim of a terrorist attack typical of Islamists," the French president said. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called Macron "the mastermind of terrorism".
"Macron, of course, is absolutely clever and absolutely right. In response to yet another insane, senseless barbarism and sadism, he decided to make the study of Charlie cartoons compulsory in all schools in France. And, of course, in this dialogue Kadyrov is absolutely wrong with his traditional endless threats", - journalist Alexander Nevzorov expressed his opinion earlier.
