The deputy proposes to simplify the procedure for confirming qualifications for former doctors who have not worked in their specialty for a long time, as well as to introduce incentives for those who returned to the profession.
According to Mironov, these measures should solve the problem with personnel in the regions during the spread of the epidemic.
“The situation with the spread of the coronavirus is becoming critical again. There is a catastrophic shortage of doctors in the regions. Therefore, urgent measures are needed”, - the politician quotes his press service.
The first thing that Mironov proposes to do is to attract volunteers to the regions. “For this, it is necessary to simplify as much as possible the confirmation of qualifications for those who have a medical education, but who have not worked in their specialty for a long time. For this, medical universities must have online courses”, - Mironov suggested.
Another proposal of Mironov is to introduce financial and non-financial incentives for those workers who decide to return to medicine.
“Finally, we need to announce a massive call for doctors”, - concluded Mironov.
Earlier, doctors from the Kurgan region appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to send military doctors to help them. According to regional doctors, the situation with the coronavirus in the region is critical. Regional statistics do not reflect the full picture of the epidemic, since the official data is greatly underestimated, doctors say. Military doctors and doctors from neighboring regions were sent to help them. The shortage of doctors was also reported in the Rostov and Omsk regions.
Over the past day in Russia, another 18.6 thousand people fell ill with coronavirus. There was no such high number of cases in the spring, when mandatory self-isolation was introduced in the country. Since the beginning of the spread of the epidemic in the country, the disease has been confirmed in 1.67 million people. 28.8 thousand patients died from complications. More than 1.2 million have already recovered. The authorities have so far decided not to introduce a new quarantine, but since October 28, a mandatory mask regime has been introduced in all regions. In Moscow, a third of employees were transferred to a remote location.
