Biden won election against Trump in Georgia, the state that is principal for the victory

In the land-winning state of Georgia, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has overtaken Republican candidate Donald Trump.

According to CNN , after processing 99% of votes, 2,449,371 people voted for Biden in the state, while 2,448,454 people voted for Trump. If earlier in Georgia Biden lagged behind Trump, now he is ahead of him by 917 votes.

Specialists have less than 1% of ballots left to process, but it cannot be ruled out that Trump will again be able to come out ahead.

"Mr. Voicemail in Georgia enough for Joe Biden won the right to win the number of electors", - he said of The Insider.

As noted by RBC , the candidate for whom the majority of votes will be cast in Georgia will receive 16 electoral votes. At the same time, according to the law in force in the state, a candidate who lost in the presidential elections in the United States may demand a recount if the gap between the rivals is 0.5 percentage points or less. This must be done within two working days after the announcement of the results.

Now the gap between the two candidates for the presidency of the United States is minimal.

When it became known that Biden was winning in some traditionally "pro-republican" states, Trump's headquarters demanded to stop the vote counting in them, suspecting fraud. However, recently in the key state for the US presidential election, the counting of votes has resumed.

Trump's lawyers said they intend to challenge the results of the counting of votes in Nevada in court. At Trump's headquarters, it is believed that at least 10 thousand votes counted in this state belong to people who do not live in Nevada.

Biden is now leading in 24 states - Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, New Mexico, Arizona , Colorado, Washington, California, Oregon, Hawaii and the Metropolitan District of Columbia, Michigan. If Biden maintains leadership in these states, he will receive the votes of more than 270 electors, this is the required minimum to be elected president of the United States.

The election of the head of state in the United States was held on November 3. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, part of the votes were taken not at polling stations, but by mail, which significantly delayed the counting process.
