Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree increasing the number of deputy prime ministers from nine to 10 and made serious personnel changes in the Cabinet.

From November 9, five ministers will change in the Russian government, and the number of deputy prime ministers will grow from 9 to 10.

"Establish that the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation has 10 deputies, including one First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation", - reads the presidential decree published on the Kremlin website.

According to TASS , Putin fired the head of the Ministry of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Dmitry Kobylkin and dismissed the head of the Ministry of Construction Vladimir Yakushev, who will henceforth take the place of Nikolay Tsukanov, who was dismissed from the post of the President's Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District.

"To appoint Yakushev Vladimir Vladimirovich as the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District, relieving him of his post", - the text of the decree is quoted by TASS.

As RBC specifies, the head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Alexander Kozlov, will go to the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Minister of Energy Alexander Novak will become Deputy Prime Minister. It is expected that the names of the new ministers will be officially announced on November 9.

“A source in the government told RBC about the planned personnel changes. The resignations of Novak, Kobylkin and Dietrich were confirmed by the interlocutors of RBC close to the presidential administration. Two sources close to the government clarified that Novak will be promoted to deputy prime minister. Yakushev's resignation was also reported by a source in a company working with the Ministry of Construction”, - the newspaper said. After Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announces the candidates for the successors of the dismissed ministers, they will have to be approved by the State Duma.

Vladimir Putin signed the law on the new procedure for forming the government on November 6. According to it, the State Duma will approve the candidacies of the prime minister, his deputies and ministers (except for the security officials and the head of the Foreign Ministry), and the president will appoint them.
