Doctors vaccinated with Sputnik V vaccine in Altai Territory contracted coronavirus

42 kits are the first batch of vaccine delivered to the Altai Territory. The second - about two thousand doses - is expected in the first quarter of next year, TASS reports, referring to the region's chief infectious disease specialist Valery Shevchenko.

"In the Altai Territory, three out of 42 doctors who were the first to vaccinate against coronavirus infection (Sputnik V vaccine) contracted the coronavirus. Immunity in sick doctors who have been vaccinated probably did not have time to form by the time they met with the pathogen COVID-19. Only this could become the reason for the infection of doctors", - indicate in the department of press and mass communications of the Altai Territory.

According to the operational headquarters, over the past day, 234 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the region. During the pandemic, 21,499 cases of the disease were recorded in the region.

Let us recall that earlier, several volunteers had already contracted the coronavirus after being vaccinated against a new disease, as they were told - the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
