Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov said on his Instagram that he had contracted a coronavirus infection.

"Unfortunately, I must inform you that today I have confirmed a positive test for the coronavirus infection. I am switching to a self-isolation regime", - the governor told the subscribers.

He added that in general, his condition is normal and he will continue to work in videoconference mode.

Recall that earlier the head of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobzev, was hospitalized with COVID-19. The reason for hospitalization today was a sharp deterioration in the governor's health.

In addition, it became known about the infection with a coronavirus infection of the head of Kuzbass, Sergei Tsivilev.

Before that, in early October, a covid was identified at the head of the Omsk region, Alexander Bykov.

To date, 1,817,109 cases of a new coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Russia. 1,350,741 patients recovered. Died 31 161 sick.

Over the past day, the virus was detected in 20,977 people. This is less than the day before, when there were 21 798 new cases.
