In the Russian Football Union (RFU), the question of dismissing the head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov is not on the agenda. They started talking about his possible resignation after the crushing defeat of the Russian team from the Serbian national team with a score of 0: 5.

This is reported by "RB-Sport" with reference to a source in the RFU.

The defeat, for which the captain of the Russian national team Georgy Dzhikia had to apologize, led the team to be eliminated from the second basket in the draw for the selection for the 2022 World Cup. The loss also prevented the team from reaching the elite division of the League of Nations.

The publication reports that the next meeting of the RFU executive committee will be held in mid-December, and no unscheduled meetings are planned. Cherchesov himself, when asked about his possible resignation, said that this question should not be addressed to him.

Let us recall that after yesterday's match in Belgrade, Jikia said that the blame for the "shameful" defeat lies entirely with the players. Cherchesov, however, said that the opponents were stronger than his charges.
