The increase in prices for housing and communal services in 2021 will reach in average 4-6%, experts say. The State Duma reminded that the indexation of tariffs cannot exceed the inflation rate.

Moskovsky Komsomolets came to the conclusion that from the new year Russians should expect increased amounts in their payment receipts for the "communal", having interviewed experts in the field of housing and communal services.

The head of the People's Control Organization Natalya Chernysheva noted that in 2020, compared to last year, tariffs increased by 2.5-6.5%, depending on the subject of the Russian Federation.

“Most likely, in 2021, resource supplying companies will lobby for a higher percentage increase in order to try to cover their losses from shortfalls in funds in 2020”, - Chernysheva suggested.

She also warned citizens about the "new misfortune" that awaits them from the beginning of the new year. We are talking about ending the moratorium on fines and shutting down utility services for non-payment. She is confident that due to the accumulated debts, many families will face a very difficult situation.

"Potential fines are not the biggest evil yet. Turning off the light, heating, water in the cold winter period is much worse", - the expert stated.

Sergey Minko, General Director of PJSC City Innovative Technologies, also reminded of the indexation of gas tariffs by an average of 3%. Electricity tariffs in July will rise by 4%. At the same time, the garbage call charge will change, also by 4%.

"The cost of heat supply, water supply and sewerage services will be increased by four percent. These are the average figures for Russia, the regions have the right to set their tariffs, which, apparently, will be in the range of 3.4-6.4%", - Minko said.

Tariff growth cannot exceed the inflation rate. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, it will be around 4-5%.

Let us recall that in September of this year, housing and communal services have risen in price for residents of 43 Russian regions. The leaders of expenditures were the Republic of Komi, Chukotka and Magadan region. This year, since July 1, housing and communal services tariffs have increased in Russia, and in August, residents of apartments in new buildings were predicted an additional increase in heating tariffs.
