The media and social networks report that during the G20 summit, which is being held in a virtual format, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jingping proposed creating a single international mechanism of so-called health certificates, which would be mutually recognized in different countries. According to his plan, the mechanism should be based on the results of a nucleic acid test and use generally accepted QR codes. The Chinese leader expressed the hope that more countries will join the system.

He explained that amid efforts to contain the spread of the virus, it is necessary to restore smooth operation of global production chains as well as supply. In addition, he said, it is necessary to reduce duties and barriers to trade, as well as explore the possibility of liberalizing trade in basic medical goods.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, China has had a health code system launched by the Alipay platform based on its application. It collects information including medical indicators, travel history and contacts with COVID-19 patients, and assigns a code to the user: green, yellow or red. Holders of the green health code can move freely, the owners of the yellow one are recommended to self-isolate for one to two weeks, and those with the red one need a 14-day quarantine. After meeting the requirements, the color of the code changes. Meanwhile, America and Europe are already testing their own version - CommonPass. This is exactly what Bill Gates wrote about:
