Only a quarter of Russians have a financial cushion in case of dismissal. At the same time, half of them have enough funds not to work for six months or a year.

This is evidenced by the results of a study of the service Rabota.ru and Sberbank, which leads RIA Novosti.

- Only 23% of Russians have a financial cushion in case of dismissal. 10% of respondents indicated that their savings will last no more than a month. At the same time, 34% of respondents will be able to maintain a financial cushion for 1-3 months, and 31% - up to six months, and a quarter of the savings will be enough for a year without a job, the study says.

Half of the respondents - 52% - admitted that they faced layoffs due to a reduction in the number of employees, bankruptcy or financial difficulties in the company. 20% of the respondents specified that they had found themselves in such situations more than once. 32% of the survey participants were among those who were fired for these reasons once.

Analysts noted that the majority of respondents - 60% - expect to spend no more than three months looking for a new job. Moreover, 30% of them expect that the search process will not drag on for more than a month. 21% are ready to wait up to six months for a suitable offer. Only 19% of respondents are ready to be unemployed for a year or more.

Let us recall that Russian families during the pandemic have significantly cut their costs. In the first half of 2020, Russians cut consumer spending by an average of 11.5 thousand rubles.

At the same time, 70% of Russians who were unable to repay loans on time, indicated that the reason for the delay was the deteriorating financial situation.
