Roskomnadzor (RKN*) has formed a register of audiovisual services (AVS), whose owners will be able to apply for their pre-installation on mobile devices and Smart-TV starting from the beginning of 2021.

The press service of the department clarified that the register included ivi, Megogo,, Movix, Okko, Premier, SPB TV Russia, Start, Wink, Amediateka, Beeline TV, Kino1TV, Kinopoisk, "Match TV", "Megafon TV", "MTS TV", "NTV Plus", "Channel One", "Look", "Tricolor Kino" and "TV Online".

As reported in the RKN, the register includes ABC, "focused primarily on the Russian audience, with more than 100 thousand users per day".

- Owners of ABC, included in the register, in accordance with the federal law coming into force from 2021, will be able to apply for preinstallation of their applications for electronics imported into Russia (mobile phones and Smart-TV), - said the press service of the department.

Recall that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the list of equipment, which from January 1 of next year will be prohibited from selling without preinstalled domestic software. No later than December 15, the Ministry of Digital Industry must send to the government a list of domestic programs that must be installed on all gadgets sold in the country.

It is assumed that when purchasing devices, the consumer will be able to count on using the free version of the program, the update of which will also be free. At the same time, the authorities note that program owners can include paid content in their developments, which involves the use of an extended list of functions.
