On the fact of purchasing uniforms for Rosgvardia (Federal National Guard Troops Service) in 2017-2019, a criminal case was initiated under the article on fraud. The damage may exceed 680 million rubles.

This was reported by Interfax, citing an informed source. According to the agency's interlocutor, an investigation is currently underway.

According to a source to the publication, in the period from 2017 to 2019, Rosgvardia purchased uniforms from one supplier at inflated prices. So far, there are no suspects or defendants in the case, but the materials contain a confession of the general director of the company that supplied the clothes.

The interlocutor also clarified that the criminal activity may be associated with the former deputy head of Rosgvardi Sergey Mileyko. Let us recall that a criminal case has already been initiated against him. It is likely that, based on the revealed facts, new cases of abuse of office and bribery may be opened.

Recall that Mileyko was detained at the end of October, he is suspected of fraud. He was dismissed from office back in 2019. It is known that he was checked for involvement in fraud with contracts for the supply of uniforms to the Federal National Guard Troops Service - he oversaw these contracts, being the chief logistics officer of the department.

According to Kommersant, the estimated damage inflicted on the department from transactions with a single supplier - the Ufa company Spetsshveisnab, which was supervised by Mileiko, could exceed 680 million rubles, and according to some estimates, it could exceed a billion rubles. The publication indicates that Mileiko, as well as the first deputy head of the Rosgvardia, Sergey Melikov, were able to bypass the restriction associated with permitted purchases for the Rosgvardia within the framework of open tenders.

Kommersant clarifies that within three years the Spetsshweisnab company managed to obtain 134 contracts for a total amount of 3 billion 643 million rubles, and many of these contracts were concluded in the absence of a proper financial and economic justification at significantly inflated prices. For example, a pair of gloves, which costs 580 rubles, was purchased for 720 rubles, waist belts were bought not for 395 rubles, but for 600 rubles, ceremonial belts - for 900 rubles instead of 566 rubles, etc.

At the same time, the publication reminds, the quality of the form became the cause of scandals. For example, for the ceremonial crew of the Federal National Guard Troops Service, which received the honor of marching along Red Square during the parade on May 9, 2018, 450 wool blend sets of uniforms were delivered. But 200 of them did not pass the fitting. They had to be urgently altered and corrected in the Separate Operational Division.
