Kadyrov called American sanctions imposed on him "moronic"

“America began to fight sports, with wives, children, charitable organizations, athletes, horses... There is only one name for this -"moronism", because there has never been anything more absurd in the history of all mankind”, - Kadyrov said in his Telegram channel.

He also promised that the restrictive measures imposed on Washington "will still backfire".

"But today's shameful sanctions will still haunt the United States. This is really a black page in the history of this state", - Kadyrov said.

In addition, he wrote that Chechnya could get into the Guinness Book of Records.

"I seriously thought about how to apply for the Guinness Book. The record will be titled "The largest number of people and organizations of one republic included in the sanctions lists." With each new sanction, breaking this record will be harder and harder. Unless, of course, the Guinness Book itself in this case will not be included in the Magnitsky list", - wrote the head of Chechnya.

At the same time, he is sure that the measures will not affect the republic.

Recall that on the eve of the United States imposed sanctions against five people associated with Ramzan Kadyrov, and against six legal entities for human rights violations within the framework of the "Magnitsky Act".

Among those who fell under the sanctions were representatives of the Chechen government, a personal trainer in equestrian sports, the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation, and the Akhmat football club. Sanctions against Kadyrov himself were imposed back in 2017.

Earlier, Kadyrov assured that the residents of Chechnya want to share the sanctions with him.

"Those who see me, they tell me: if you and your family are on the list, then we are also on the list. They say that Kadyrov scared the Chechens. Never in our life can we be frightened and forced. I ask them to come up with a thousand sanctions against me every day", - said the head of Chechnya.
