Return to the past: a New Confederation is maturing in the USA

Return to the past: a New Confederation is maturing in the USA

As on the eve of the Civil War of 1861-1865, the southern states of the country can form their own union.

Presidential elections in the United States can lead to the most dire consequences for this country. Despite the fact that according to media reports, Joe Biden has already collected 286 votes (and only 270 are needed to win), and Trump - 232, legal battles are still ongoing.

Moreover, already 17 American states, where Republicans are in power, have supported Texas's claim to review the results of the presidential election, CNBC reported. The document was sent to the Supreme Court. We are talking about the states of Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. The fact that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton applied to the US Supreme Court with a request to invalidate elections in four states (Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin) was reported on December 8. As noted by CNBC, 17 states filed for support of the lawsuit a day after Mr. Paxton's appeal.

All these states also spoke about the postponement of the appointment of electors, the vote of which should take place on December 14, since the voting in these states was held with violations, since they changed electoral legislation under the pretext of the coronavirus pandemic. Now Texas is demanding that the Supreme Court allow state legislators to appoint their own electors to vote for Trump. True, according to the court's statement, the states did not officially join the lawsuit, but only expressed their opinion.

Network analyst Alexander Rozovcomments on this situation, recalling that the Confederate States of America were formed on February 4, 1861 by six southern states (South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana) after the results of the presidential elections in the United States were approved, the winner of which Abraham Lincoln was declared (a representative of the northerners, who spoke from the standpoint of condemning, limiting and prohibiting the spread of slavery to new territories, which was the basis of the economy of the southern states).

These six southern states and Texas, which joined them on March 2, announced their secession from the United States and the return to the state authorities of powers delegated to the federal government under the 1787 Constitution.

The blogger also drew attention to the fact that back in September he suggested a similar development of events in his publication "America's Near Futurology: Is the Second Civil War and Confederate Revenge Bad?" Rozov believes that the Second Civil War should not be perceived as something unambiguously negative for America, since it is possible that just now the transition to the American Confederation will allow maintaining the leading position in the Western sector of geopolitics:

1) The United States is now quite clearly divided by regions into "producing" and "digital", which essentially corresponds with the support of the Republicans and Democrats, respectively

2) The transformation of this unofficial division into an officially recognized (at the level of the new 28th amendment to the constitution) confederal structure would allow realizing the potential of America's political and economic diversity, which is important in the context of the next series of global confrontations.

3) At the same time, the required level of armed violence for the implementation of the Second Civil War and revenge of the Confederation does not actually exceed the level of ALREADY existing street violence.

In November, Rozov supplemented his forecast with a new publication on this topic: “The US electoral machine is stuck in democratic Nevada. Viva Confederation!"

  1. It can be seen that the United States is much more polarized than is permissible in a rigidly federal state. Those. a compromise common political and economic course cannot be found.
  2. At the same time, in contrast to European federal states, the United States is well adapted in advance to confederation (each state there is an almost sovereign subject, and only a rather limited list of powers has been transferred to the federal center).
  3. The escalation of civil unrest to a state of civil war is now not beneficial to either side, Republicans or Democrats.
  4. The confederate scheme will allow both sides to preserve such an important resource as the printing press of the Federal Reserve System (agreeing on a private item: how to share bonuses from the Fed's press - I think it is not so difficult)... Total: Viva Confederacy.

History repeats itself, the list has changed slightly, and one more thing: in 1860, the Texas authorities were the last to join the Confederation, and in 2020 they were the first.
