The load of hospitals in St. Petersburg was called unprecedented

This was stated by the head of the city health committee Dmitry Lisovets.

"This week has been marked by a significant increase in the number of hospitalizations. Moreover, a historical maximum of a weekly hospitalization in hospitals converted to work with infectious patients has been set - 5 785 people. Compared to the previous week, the growth amounted to 6.1%", - is said on the page of Dmitry Lisovets in VKontakte.

He added that "the load upon the stationary service is extreme and unprecedented".

On December 1, it was reported that St. Petersburg, like Kaliningrad, had almost exhausted the reserve of beds for patients with coronavirus infection.

At the same time, on December 9, in St. Petersburg, there was an egregious case when a pensioner who became ill with coronavirus was discharged from the hospital, sent for outpatient treatment. On the way, without reaching home, the patient began to choke and died.
