11 people died in a fire in a private nursing home in Bashkiria

At the time of the arrival of the firefighters, the one-story building where the nursing home was located was completely engulfed in fire, TASS reports .

- At 00:53 Moscow time, a message was received about a fire on Kizilskaya street in the village of Ishbuldino, Abzelilovsky district of Bashkiria. In the course of extinguishing at the site of the fire, the bodies of 11 victims were found, - said the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The fire was extinguished by 4 am Moscow time. Its area was 72 square meters. This is the total area of the house.

Of the 16 people who were in the boarding house, five were saved. One of them was hospitalized due to a chronic illness.

A source in the emergency services told the agency that only the personnel were saved, and only the guests were among the dead.

Investigators opened a criminal investigation into the death due to negligence. After inspecting the scene of the incident, expert examinations will be assigned, with the help of which the cause of the fire will be established. In addition, the “completeness of measures taken by the management and employees of the organization to ensure fire safety” will be checked, the UK said. According to preliminary data, the fire could have caused careless handling of the fire.

An emergency regime has been introduced in the Abzelilovsky district.

The regional administration told Interfax that the institution was legal, but it had no right to accommodate guests around the clock.

- It was a functioning social institution - the center of social services for the population. Worked in accordance with the registered type of activity. However, people could not stay there around the clock, such services are not provided, ”the administration said.

It is known that a private nursing home was opened two years ago in a wooden building built in 1960.
