Almost half of Russians would like to receive a pension of 45 thousand rubles

Most Russians would like to receive a pension of 30-45 thousand rubles. Moreover, an amount of at least 45 thousand rubles - corresponding to the average salary - would like to receive 46.6% of citizens. 30 thousand rubles would be enough for 29.1% of Russians.

This data follows from a survey conducted by the online financial platform Webbankir. The research results are published by RIA Novosti.

Analysts found that 22.1% of citizens want to see a monthly pension payment in excess of 45 thousand rubles for a prosperous life in old age. Only 1% of the survey participants believe that 25 thousand rubles will be enough for old age.

At the same time, 44% of Muscovites said that they need a pension within the same 45 thousand, but 38.5% are sure that they need more.

Most of the survey participants - 52.3% - said they want to receive or are already receiving a pension of 15 thousand rubles. Every fifth respondent would like his pension to be 30 thousand rubles. 4.3% of respondents agree on 45 thousand or more.

At the same time, less than 50% of citizens are counting on a state pension. Sociologists at the Higher School of Economics found that 43% in the Russian Federation (42% in Moscow) reckon on the state pension in 2020 against 55% (56%) in 2018 and 54% (56%) in 2016.

Let us recall that the average pension in Russia is 16,492 rubles. In Moscow, the minimum pension for non-working citizens who have lived in the capital for at least 10 years is 19,500 rubles. From January it will grow to 20,220 rubles. In 2021, payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, labor veterans and the rehabilitated will grow by 3.7% in the capital. Now, war veterans receive an average of 35,000 rubles, veterans - 53,000.
