The fire occurred in an apartment on the tenth floor of a 14-storey residential building located at Akademika Pavlova Street, Building 27, Building 1 in the Kuntsevo District - this is the western part of the city.

According to the press service of the capital's headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the fire, one person died, four were injured, including two children.

"The area of the fire was 45 square meters, by the present moment it has been liquidated, reports the Interfax agency. During the fire, there was strong smoke in the house, the residents asked for help, all the firefighters were sent to save people. They were taken out of the windows by lifts or taken out the stairs", - reports the TASS agency.

Earlier, on December 20, there was a fire in Ufa at a blood transfusion station. Firefighters extinguished the fire on an area of 80 square meters, 150 people were evacuated, there were no casualties, notes mir24.tv.

On December 20, a fire broke out in Moscow at a paint and varnish warehouse located on Marshal Proshlyakov Street in the north-west of the city. The fire was assigned the second difficulty rank. The fire was localized on an area of 600 square meters, but it was quickly liquidated, there were no casualties, the Izvestia newspaper notes.
