State Duma approved the restoration of the sobering-up system

The decision to open them, including on the basis of a public-private partnership, will be made locally, and the rules for the operation of such organizations and the types of services provided in them will be approved at the federal level.

It will be possible to open sobering-up centers in the regions, both public and private. Policemen will deliver drunk citizens there. “The delivery will be for those who are in public places in a state of intoxication, cannot move independently, cannot orient themselves in space”, - is written in the message.

Before sending a person to the sobering-up station, a doctor will also examine him. Earlier it was noted that a night in such an establishment would cost an average of 1.5 thousand rubles.

Now in some regions of the country there are sobering-up stations, but their activities are not regulated by federal law, added Alexander Khinshtein, Chairman of the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications.
