The US military again failed in testing the latest hypersonic missile from the B-52N strategic bomber. In preparation for the launch of the rocket due to a technical failure, the product developed as part of the Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept program failed to launch.

- According to a number of sources familiar with the situation, the expected but failed test of a new American hypersonic missile development performed under the Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) program did not take place due to a technical failure that prevented the launch of the product from the B-52N Stratofortress, although all the forces providing this test were deployed in advance in the sea and in the air in designated areas along the firing route , - reports the Telegram-channel "Operational Line".

So far, the Pentagon has not provided official comments.

According to Avia.pro experts, the failed tests of the hypersonic missile, which should be similar in technical characteristics to the Russian Zircon, indicate that Washington does not yet have the hypersonic weapons that President Donald Trump has talked about so much.

Meanwhile, the Russian military managed to accelerate the newest hypersonic missile of the Avangard complex to a speed of 28 MAX (approximately 33.6 thousand kilometers per hour), which is an absolute record for today. Let us also recall that in October 2020, the Russian military also tested a cruise missile, which is capable of “flying out from around the corner”. The range of this rocket is over 350 km.
