Two Russian diplomats, Alexander Belousov and Alexander Paristov, have been expelled from Colombia. They were suspected of espionage. They allegedly collected information about the country's oil and energy infrastructure.

Russian diplomats were suspected of leaking data to Venezuela. They allegedly collected information about new military developments, in particular, new drones. It was decided to check Russian diplomats for espionage after the Netherlands declared similar violations by the Russians on the territory of its country, writes Noticias Caracol.

The Colombian Foreign Minister gave diplomats 24 hours to leave the country voluntarily. The staff of the Russian embassy did this on December 8. They will no longer be able to return to the country in the near future. At the same time, the country's authorities declare that, despite the precedent, they are ready to continue to maintain diplomatic and trade relations with Russia.

In response, the Russian authorities expelled two Colombian diplomats from their territory.

Earlier, a Russian in Bulgaria was suspected of collecting information about the American military who are in the country for exercises. The Russian was given three days to leave the country.
