Personal experience: after complain about an official without a mask - pay a fine

A truly remarkable story that happened the other day in Kaluga was told by the Dozhd TV channel. There, a local businessman came to the passport office (probably, as he habitually called the service "My Documents"), all of whose employees were without masks. The businessman was indignant and made a remark to the boss, who took offense at him and ordered her subordinates to stop serving him. When he began to shoot what was happening on video, the boss got angry and called a friend at the local office of the Investigative Committee. A short time later, riot police arrived at the scene, the businessman was detained, interrogated and charged under Article 319 (insulting a government official, a fine of up to three months' income, or compulsory work up to 360 hours, or correctional labor for up to a year)...

Political scientist Sergey Medvedev commented on the situation in his blog:

“Why do such unfortunate incidents come from? That's right, from the false notion still prevalent in the population that the authorities "owe" us something, as if we "support" them with our taxes. This is fundamentally wrong, we are all supported by the state out of mercy, and everyone should clearly understand their place in the caste-caste system, and a representative of the lower varna, a vaisya (merchant) cannot demand something from a kshatriya (administrator, civil servant) without risking this life.

It seems to me that it is necessary to introduce teaching the basics of caste literacy at school, so that children from childhood receive their cord and know their varna and their place, brahmana or sudra - and then such cases of disrespectful treatment of a representative of authority will disappear by themselves. And a good lesson for a businessman: they could have beaten them with sticks, and they would have been right!"
