Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the situation with the alleged poisoning of opposition leader Alexey Navalny did not cause "any feelings" in Vladimir Putin, and that he was "not hysterical" in connection with this case.

Let us remind you that yesterday it became known that a criminal case on large-scale fraud was initiated against Navalny. According to investigators, Navalny spent 365 million rubles for personal purposes out of 588 million rubles collected by non-profit organizations through donations. The oppositionist believes that the case is connected with the fact that the president is allegedly behind his poisoning.

“Putin seems to be just hysterical”, - Navalny said.

Peskov gave an answer to this statement.

"You know, Putin is not hysterical. Putin prepares for a meeting with the prime minister and conducts international calls to congratulate his colleagues on the upcoming New Year. All other details are probably better to ask in the Investigative Committee. We do not have this information", - Kommersant quotes the words of the press secretary of the state.

Answering the question about what feelings the president has about the situation with Navalny, Peskov admitted that "no".

"This situation does not evoke any feelings of Vladimir Putin. Vladimir Putin has a sense of the tasks facing him and the government", - Peskov said.

He added that the president is regularly informed about the situation around Navalny, but this does not mean that any case "in relation to this or that citizen of the Russian Federation is reported to the president".

Let us recall that on December 28, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) threatened Navalny to replace the suspended sentence with a real one due to the fact that he "does not fulfill the duties assigned to him by the court and evades the control of the criminal executive inspection", that is, not appears in the Criminal Execution Inspectorate (CEI) while abroad. The FSIN ordered him to appear there on December 29 at 09:00. The oppositionist himself is in Germany.
