This was reported by TASS with reference to the department. This database will differ from the existing ones in that, in addition to traffic police inspectors, carsharing companies and taxi aggregators will have access to it. These companies will be able to check their customers and drivers for such important information as repeated traffic violations or information about the revocation of a driver's license. Whether ordinary citizens will have access to this database has not yet been specified.
Let us note that the need to increase the requirements for users of car-sharing services in the traffic police spoke earlier. In July 2020, Mikhail Chernikov , head of the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety, proposed introducing a ban on the management of rented cars for those who regularly violate traffic rules.
Chernikov intended to realize this idea by creating databases of violators. Chernikov then noted that with the growing popularity of car sharing and the increase in the number of such vehicles, the number of accidents involving rented cars has become much larger.
