On January 5, the spread of coronavirus in Moscow fell to 0.76. This is the lowest figure for the last six months, TASS reports.

At the same time, the all-Russian spread of coronavirus was also a record low since June 27 - 0.91.

In the Voronezh region and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, where there is a high incidence of coronavirus, its prevalence rate is higher than one - 1.02 and 1.03, respectively. In the Sverdlovsk and Rostov regions, it is equal to one. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory - 0.99, St. Petersburg - 0.98, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region - 0.93, and in the Moscow Region - 0.88.

Coronavirus prevalence is a measure of the average number of people a patient infects before isolation. It can be calculated by dividing the number of reported infections in the last four days by the same rate in the previous four days. Previously, the coefficient was used by the heads of regions to introduce or remove restrictions.
