Dagestani mixed martial arts fighters Kerim Khairulaev and Ramazan Amirov were killed in a mass brawl in the village of Tarki near Makhachkala.

An emergency in the village of Tarki occurred on January 6 during a gathering of residents who demanded to evict the family of a 28-year-old suspect in murder and drug trafficking from the village. The reason for the gathering was the murder of 23-year-old activist Vali Abduragimov on January 3.

“A young man who was fighting drug trafficking was shot on the slope of Tarki-Tau Mountain”, - Channel 5 reports.

According to media reports, about 200 people gathered at the gathering. At the end of the meeting, a fight suddenly broke out, in which from 10 to 15 people took part. The detainee's cousin pulled out by a knife and hit the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter Kerim Khairulaev, who was separating the conflicting MMA fighters. The athlete died on the spot from the received wound before the ambulance arrived. A few hours later, injured fighter Ramazan Amirov died in the hospital.

The police detained six participants in the fight, and all circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

As the "Caucasian Knot" clarifies, on January 5, a 28-year-old resident of Makhachkala was arrested on suspicion of the murder of activist Vali Abduragimov, the court decided to detain him for 10 days. The case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"), the article provides for up to 15 years in prison.
