The liner fell into the sea about four minutes after departure from Jakarta, without having time to give any emergency signals. According to the aviation portal FlightRadar, during the first minutes after takeoff, the plane was gaining altitude, but having reached a mark of 3300 meters, in less than a minute it dropped sharply by 3000 meters.
