Aeroflot has stopped selling discount tickets to the Far East

The airline said it could start selling discounted tickets again, but only if additional funds are received for the subsidized transportation program.

Aerofot indicated that all tickets confirmed but not paid for at the close of sales on January 13 at 11:00 Moscow time will be issued at a subsidized rate.

As a reminder, discounted tickets are available to young people under the age of 23, as well as women over 55 and men over 60. In addition, people with disabilities of the first group, people with disabilities of the second and third groups, accompanying a disabled child or a disabled person of the first group, members of large families could purchase subsidized tickets.

Note that the problem of expensive air transportation and, in principle, transport accessibility in the Far Eastern Federal District is quite acute.

At the same time, airlines, in particular, Aeroflot, refuse to reduce the cost of tickets, regularly raising prices for flights. Let us remind you that not so long ago Aeroflot introduced a fuel surcharge for flights to the Far East from Moscow. There was also information that "flat fares", which imply reduced prices for air tickets, may be canceled in the Far East.
