In Russia, vaccines against coronavirus that have not passed state registration here cannot be used. Interfax agency received this information from Roszdravnadzor (Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare and Social Development).

At the end of last year, it became known that the branch of the Israeli hospital Hadassah in Moscow - Hadassah Medical Moscow - is negotiating the supply of vaccines produced by Pfizer and Moderna to Russia. In addition, on January 12, Tatyana Solomatina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, told Ekho Moskvi that Pfizer can already be vaccinated in this clinic privately. She stated that she was asked to be vaccinated with this drug. Moreover, this service is paid. By the way, Solomatina was previously vaccinated against the Russian-made coronavirus.

However, Hadassah Medical Moscow said that they are only negotiating the supply of the drug, but it is too early for them to talk about the timing of vaccination, RBC wrote.

As explained in Roszdravnadzor, according to the law, the import into the country and the use of coronavirus vaccines that have not passed state registration in Russia is prohibited. “The ban applies, among other things, to medical organizations operating on the territory of the International Medical Cluster”, - they said.

Earlier it was reported that Pfizer is considering filing an application for registration of a vaccine against coronavirus in Russia.
