The players of the St. Petersburg football club "Zenith" - forward Artyom Dziuba and goalkeeper Andrey Lunyov - were diagnosed with a coronavirus infection.

According to the club's press service, the athletes were unable to fly with the entire team to the first training camp in the UAE, which is being held in preparation for the rest of the season.

We will remind that earlier it was reported about the possible infection of football players with covid. The media clarified that the test results for COVID-19 are questionable. As Sport Express wrote, the participation of Dziuba and Lunyov in the training camp in Dubai was in doubt, since the results of the analysis for coronavirus were “suspicious” for both.

Let us remind you that Zenit is the champion and the sole leader of the current season in the RPL. Dziuba is in the lead in the rating of scorers - the footballer became the circuit with 11 goals in 19 rounds.

It's worth reminding that in the Russian media and social networks, the name of the St. Petersburg footballer has recently been frequently mentioned in connection with an unsportsmanlike occasion. In early November 2020, an intimate video with the participation of Dzyuba appeared on the Runet, which negatively affected the football player's career: amid the background of the scandal, Artyom Dzyuba was removed from the games of the Russian national team and deprived of the title of captain of St. Petersburg Zenit.
