Prosecutors requested 25 years of strict regime for Ramil Shamsutdinov

- The court has started the debate. Prosecutors are asking for 25 years in prison. Now the side of the defense is acting, - RIA Novosti reports the words of the representative of the 2nd Eastern District Military Court.

The state prosecutor proposed to appoint 25 years of strict regime by partial addition of the sentences imposed. This period is the maximum possible for Shamsutdinov, because at the end of December 2020, the jury found him guilty, but indicated that he deserves leniency. The prosecution insisted that he did not deserve the accusation.

It is impossible to sentence Shamsutdinov to life imprisonment in accordance with Article 65 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, December 22 Ramil Shamsutdinov repented in the execution of his colleagues. He explained his act by hazing. Family members of those killed and injured during the execution of their colleagues Ramil Shamsutdinov filed claims against him for compensation for moral damage in the total amount of 26.7 million rubles.

Recall that as a result of the shooting opened by Shamsutdinov in the military unit, in whose warehouse nuclear ammunition was also stored, Senior Lieutenant Pyankov, Captain Yevseev, Sergeant of the contract service Kovalev, Corporal Andreyev, privates Bogomolov, Nikishin, Kuropov and Pokotilo died. Two more servicemen, privates Grafov and Shpak, were seriously injured.
