Three miners died in a mine collapse in Kuzbass

- The body of the third dead miner was found. Soon it will be raised to the surface, - reported in the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.

At the mine in the conveyor roadway, methane was released and then collapsed. As a result, communication was lost with three miners who were at that moment in the mine. 41 miners managed to reach the surface on their own. After the two missing, rescuers found them dead.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities.

In addition, the prosecutor's office conducts its own inspection.

The Tikhov mine is considered the newest mine of the PMH (industrial metallurgical holding). It was commissioned in 2017. At the same time, several accidents have already occurred at the enterprise. For example, in February 2019, the mine also had a methane release. A miner died under the rubble.
