In the Ivanovo Region, the FAS recognized the prices for Gazprom's services as "monopoly high"

According to the FAS, the company abused its dominant position due to high prices for maintenance of gas pipelines, equipment and emergency services.

The case was opened after a complaint was filed in connection with the too expensive maintenance of the gas consumption network and the home gas control point located on a land plot near a private house. We are talking about "the gas consumption network, which goes from an individual residential building to the point of connection to the general network of a gas distribution organization". The service cost was almost 13 thousand rubles.

The FAS reminded that the maintenance of gas equipment installed inside the house does not belong to the sphere of activity of natural monopolies. The payment is set by business entities independently.

After the analysis, the department's specialists found that the price set by Gazprom for services is “monopoly high”.

It's worth reminding that a riot was brewing in Bashkiria due to the hikes in heat tariffs. At the same time, the leader of Fair Russia, Sergei Mironov, proposed introducing a moratorium on the growth of tariffs for natural monopolies.

"But the Cabinet gave a negative conclusion. You see, monopoly enterprises may not receive the planned revenue then. You cannot offend them, but to tear three skins from people - this is please!", - said Mironov.
