People's Artist Vasily Lanovoy taken to the intensive care unit with coronavirus

We will remind, Lanovoy was hospitalized with coronavirus on January 2. The decision to hospitalize was made in the family because of the artist's age, so as not to risk his health. Before the new year, he passed an antibody test. The result showed a large number of them. Then the artist passed a PCR test for coronavirus. It turned out to be positive. A second test confirmed the presence of the disease.

The disease was also confirmed in his wife, People's Artist of the RSFSR Irina Kupchenko. She is being treated at home. The performances with the participation of both artists were temporarily canceled.

It's worth reminding that both Lanovoy and Kupchenko work at the Vakhtangov Theater. Together they play in the performances "Saturday, Sunday, Monday" and "Last Moons". Lanovoy also plays in "Pier" and "Dedication to Eve", Kupchenko - in "Eugene Onegin".
