Russia has banned the sale of nicotine-containing products via the Internet

In addition, the requirements for the limiting content of nicotine in liquids for vaporizers are defined.

The State Duma adopted the law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on the Protection of Citizens' Health from the Consequences of Consuming Nicotine-Containing Products" in July last year. At the same time, the law was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The document introduces the very concept of "nicotine-containing products". According to the innovations, now there are restrictions on smoking and the sale of tobacco products - for example, a ban on selling to minors, as well as a ban on involving children in the consumption process.

In addition, now manufacturers of such products will be required to disclose its composition. It will be necessary to indicate the concentration of nicotine in a liquid or nicotine solution - it should not exceed 20 mg / ml. Note that before the law was passed, about 80% of all residents for vaping that could be bought in the country had a concentration of 55-60 mg / ml.

It's worth reminding that in September last year, the Russian Ministry of Health proposed to ban the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products with dyes and flavors, as well as addictive additives in the country. Also in the department to increase the inscription on the dangers of smoking on the pack from 50% of its area to 75%. This will allow the use of anonymous packaging with minimal design.

We also may note that the ministry allowed a ban on the sale of vapes in the country in the future for two to three years. At the same time, the United States has already introduced restrictions on smoking vapes - amid the investigation of 12 cases of death and 805 cases of the development of lung diseases.
