300 Belarusian soldiers are planned to be sent to Syria to patrol the territories. For this contract soldiers are promised about two thousand dollars a month.

However, officers who may be involved in sending soldiers are now trying to resign or transfer. They do not want to take responsibility for the lives of contractors, because active hostilities continue in Syria. In particular, Major Igor Gil, who was supposed to become the commander of the peacekeeping company, is trying to transfer to the headquarters, but so far unsuccessfully.

According to the BYPOL initiative, the active recruitment of conscripts for peacekeepers has already begun. It is planned to send them to Syria in September this year. "Since the entire ideology in the MTR is built on examples of heroic battles of the Airborne Forces and other elite units of the USSR and Russia, then some of the soldiers from the MTR can be recruited", - the message says.

According to the legislation of Belarus, participation in hostilities in other countries is considered mercenary, and for this there is a threat of criminal prosecution. The recruiters are also responsible.
