Mikhail Yefremov continues to complain about his lawyers

A month ago, the actor terminated the contract with another lawyer who represented his interests, Andrey Aleshkin. Prior to that, the artist twice involved him to protect his interests and twice refused services. The other day the Bar Association of St. Petersburg received a letter from Yefremov, in which he again mentions Aleshkin, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports. The convict mentions that he did not ask his former lawyer to write a cassation appeal, deal with the issue of pardon and communicate with the press.

“Indeed, there is a complaint”, - says Andrey Aleshkin. - Although it seems illogical to me. The agreement with Yefremov was terminated more than a month ago, I do not represent his interests. Moreover: the document stated in black and white that the rights to participate in the trial, including in the cassation instance, were transferred to me. Also, for a possible reduction of the term, Mikhail Olegovich authorized me to deal with the pardon and give comments to the media. Each page of the agreement is signed by Yefremov, and at the end - the signature and the phrase "Agree". And since Yefremov was declared sane by the results of the forensic examination, I am inclined to believe that this complaint is not his position, but the current defenders. But, frankly, it looks more like a massacre".

For two lawyers who took part in the trial of Yefremov, Elman Pashayev and Alexander Dobrovinsky, the case has already ended with the deprivation of lawyer status. In the press, the concept of "Yefremov's curse" even appeared. Now Andrey Aleshkin will defend himself before the qualification commission.

The interests of the actor are now represented by lawyers Petr Kharkhorin and Roman Filippov. It is expected that in the near future they will file a cassation appeal with the aim of reducing the term of 7.5 years.
