It's worth reminding that on the eve of the Simonovsky court in Moscow, Navalny was sent to a general regime colony for a period of 2.5 years in the case of the Yves Rocher company.

In front of the courthouse, supporters of the politician staged spontaneous actions, which were dispersed by the security forces. In St. Petersburg and other Russian cities, actions in support of Navalny were also held simultaneously.

According to OVD-Info, more than 200 people were detained in St. Petersburg.

A member of the Public Monitoring Commission of Moscow, Eva Merkacheva, told Dozhd that due to the large number of detainees, the capital had run out of places for their accommodation. Some of the detainees in the capital were placed in a temporary detention center for foreigners in the Sakharovo village of the Troitsky administrative district. There, Merkacheva noted, a queue also formed, and in paddy wagons people had to wait for registration for nine hours.
