On the eve of the State Duma elections, former cleaning lady Marina Udgodskaya, elected head of the Povalikhinsky rural settlement, received an offer to run for the lower house of the Russian parliament.

The Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice decided to support her candidacy. However, Udgodskaya rejected the offer to compete for a seat in parliament.

"No, I will not be nominated anywhere, on any candidates", - quotes the statement of the Udgodskaya TASS.

She added that she did indeed receive an offer to participate in the elections from a party representative, but she did not accept it.

The former cleaner Udgodskaya became the head of the administration following a vote on September 13, 2020. Having put forward his candidacy at the request of the current head of United Russia Nikolai Loktev to create the appearance of competitive elections. To the surprise of Udgodskaya herself, she, without conducting any election campaign, defeated Loktev, gaining 61.7% of the vote.

Cleaning lady Marina Udgodskaya, nominated by the regional branch of the Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice, in 2020 won the elections for the head of the administration of the Povalikhinsky rural settlement of the Chukhlomsky district of the Kostroma region, gaining 61.7% of the vote. After that, she headed the administration of the settlement, in the building of which she used to wash the floors.
