Police in Siberia, the Far East and in a number of regions of Central Russia have carried out a mass evacuation of schoolchildren due to the widespread messages on social networks about explosions preparing in educational institutions.

According to TASS , the lessons had to be canceled in schools in Krasnoyarsk, Primorsky Territory, Sakhalin Oblast, Chukotka, Blagoveshchensk and Tambov Oblast after the ministry received threats of mining. This was followed by reports of allegedly planted "bombs" in other regions of the country.

"On February 8, a man contacted the Moscow police and said that his daughter, a fourth-grade student, saw a message on the 'mining' of about 20 thousand schools throughout Russia on the Likee social network", - the message says.

After reports of massive "mining" of schools, the police began to check the situation. It is not yet known whether the reports on the "mining" of Siberian and Far Eastern schools are of a coordinated nature.

It is known that since February 8, university students who studied remotely have been returned to the classroom. There have been no reports of mining of higher educational institutions in Russia yet.

According to the legislation in force in Russia, false reporting of an allegedly impending terrorist attack is a criminal offense. Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for punishment in the form of a large fine and imprisonment for up to five years.
