“Starting from Friday, February 12, the mask regime [in the republic] will be advisory in nature”, - Brechalov said during a live broadcast.
He explained that many residents of the republic have already been ill with covid, and therefore it makes no sense to wear masks without fail. To those who were not sick with COVID-19, Brechalov asked to “take care” and still wear a mask in public places - in theaters, shops, public transport.
He indicated that he was hoping for an "element of social contract" by removing the mandatory mask regime.
"We naturally meet entrepreneurs halfway. But at the same time [sellers] behind the store counter must be wearing masks", - added the head of Udmurtia.
From today, restrictions on the work of catering, cinemas and theaters will be lifted in the region. All citizens under the age of 65 will be able to attend sports events. The occupancy of the halls should be no more than 50%.
Let us note that in Udmurtia, the increase in the number of infected is decreasing sharply.
In the country, the abolition of the mask regime is expected in the spring of this year.
