As indicated by the Fuji News Network TV channel, citing its sources, 83-year-old Yoshiro Mori said during a meeting of the Tokyo 2020 organizing committee that women talk a lot, and each considers it her duty to speak out. This phrase came when Yoshiro Mori remembered the times when he led the Japan Rugby Federation. He noted that meetings of the governing bodies began to take twice as long as women appeared in the leadership of the structure.

These words were criticized by the public. According to the media, more than 5.5 thousand complaints were received, many of which called for the resignation of Yoshiro Mori. And the International Olympic Committee (IOC) declared the statement inadmissible. However, the IOC did not talk about the possible resignation of the official.

Meanwhile, the holding of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which had already been postponed for a year, and in 2021 remained in question. Japanese government spokesman Manabu Sakai has nevertheless denied rumors about another cancellation of the main summer sporting event scheduled for this year.
