Yuri Zhdanov, President of the Russian section of the International Police Association (IPA), told reporters about the rapidly growing activity of cybercriminals.
“By the end of 2021, we will probably be robbed of 90 billion rubles. That is, it is expected to grow by 30 percent", - quotes the words of Zhdanov Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Experts believe that in 2021 the damage from cybercrimes in the country may increase by almost a third. This is facilitated by the availability of technical means for malefactors, as well as the lack of responsibility and supervision over this area of life in the country.
Experts believe that this year, criminals will actively use automated telephone calls and robotic virtual call centers to empty the accounts of Russians.
Fraudulent technologies include creating phishing programs, sending malicious content via instant messengers, e-mail and photos, developing fake websites that look like the websites of banks, well-known stores and insurance companies, as well as proven social engineering technologies.
In order not to become victims of fraudsters, experts advise you to be careful with any mailings, check the accuracy of information when you receive phone calls, do not save payment card data in online stores, and also not post unnecessary information about yourself on the Internet.
