According to Izvestia, the sellers agreed to this because of the manufacturers' request to increase the selling prices by 10%. According to the head of AKROT Sergey Belyakov, due to the seasonal factor and the massive spread of bird flu, the volume of production has decreased. In addition, the costs of poultry farmers are growing due to the rising cost of feed and a significant reduction in livestock.

All of this is considered by AKROT as a comprehensive business case for price increases. And for the first time we are talking about such a high increase - ten percent.

The Ministry of Agriculture indicated that they did not have information about the increase in selling prices from the main suppliers, but did not rule out the possibility of price increases in the short term. However, the department is confident that there are no prerequisites for significant growth.

Earlier it was reported about the projected increase in prices for sausages and sausages. With such a proposal, meat processors turned to representatives of retail chains. In their opinion, there is a need to increase purchase prices for finished products by 10-15%.
