The Udmurt Federal Penitentiary Service did not confirm the information about the death of the former regional governor Alexander Solovyov. The department said that his condition is stable, but he is still in the hospital.

We will remind, earlier the ex-governor was sentenced to 10 years in prison for bribes. He was also fined 275 million rubles. Now the former head of the region, according to a spokesman for the press service of the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, is "in the leading medical and preventive institution of the regional Ministry of Health," writes the local news agency udm-info.ru.

Earlier on Saturday, information about the death of Solovyov appeared in one of the Telegram channels. Later, a refutation of this information appeared there. According to the channel, Soloviev is in a very serious condition. The family of the former governor could neither confirm nor deny this information, since they are not allowed to see the sick person.

The daughter of the convict managed to break through to her father in the hospital. She said that her father had a broken spine in two places. He received this injury while transporting him to court. Then the former governor was paralyzed, he had a heart attack. At the hospital, the daughter explained that her father had metastases in the thoracic region and one kidney had failed. Creatine rose to a critical level at night. “My father needs an operation on his heart and spine, but the doctors cannot do anything because the only kidney has failed”, - she commented.
