The recommendation came after Saturday's Colorado plane incident: engine trim parts fell on residential areas in Brumfield. A United Airlines Boeing 777-200 with 231 passengers and ten crew members on board after a fire and partial destruction of the starboard engine landed safely in Denver. Numerous photos of the engine wreck have been posted on social media.
According to Boeing, the suspension recommendation applies to 128 aircraft: 69 aircraft in service and 59 aircraft parked by international airlines.
