424 thousand Saratov residents left without hot water in 20-degree frost

According to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, due to the frost hit, the shut-off pipe on the water supply system failed.

To replace the valve at Vodoprovodny complex-3, the water pipeline was shut off from 8 am and, presumably, until noon.

The water cut-off affected the Zavodskoy, Leninsky, Oktyabrsky and Frunzensky districts, as well as part of the Volzhsky district.

Today in Saratov minus 21 degrees. Earlier, the Emergencies Ministry warned that frosts down to minus 35 degrees are expected in the Saratov region on Thursday night.

Due to the cold weather, the Saratov mayor's office canceled lessons for pupils of the first to sixth grades.

It's worth reminding that at the beginning of February, almost a hundred houses in Chelyabinsk were left without heat in a 30-degree frost, and at the end of the month an emergency regime was introduced in six districts of the Chelyabinsk region due to severe blizzards.
