A siren signal "Attention to everyone" will block the broadcast throughout Russia on March 3

According to the emergency department, comprehensive checks of the readiness of warning systems for the population of the regional and municipal levels will be held on March 3 in all regions of the country.

"From 10.40 local time, it is planned to send a signal 'Attention to everyone!' By triggering electric sirens and loudspeakers, as well as the subsequent replacement of broadcasting on all-Russian compulsory public television and radio channels (up to 1 minute)", - the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The purpose of the large-scale action is to work out the timely delivery of signals to residents in case of danger that may arise during an emergency of a natural and man-made nature.

The department warned that, having heard the signals, it is necessary to remain calm. The exercises are planned in nature. In total, two such inspections are planned for the current year: March 3 and October 6.

Recently, polls show that many Russians refuse to use wired radio and stop watching TV, preferring to receive information on the Internet. To expand the reach of the audience, the Ministry of Emergency Situations created accounts in social networks, including the increasingly popular services Tik Tok and Likee.
