The head of the Irkutsk colony was detained in the case of bullying prisoners

“The head of the correctional colony No. 6 was detained in the case of unlawful acts committed by the convicts against T.R. Bakiyev. The head of the operational department of SIZO-1 was detained in the case of unlawful acts on the part of the convicts against Ondar K.O.”, - commented in the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service.

Both defendants in the criminal case were detained after being checked by a special commission of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, which arrived in the region to conduct a joint investigation of the facts of abuse of prisoners in four Irkutsk colonies and two pre-trial detention centers. The commission will remain in the region until the end of the investigation.

Currently, nine criminal cases have already been opened in the Irkutsk region on the facts of torture of prisoners. The accused are both the leadership of the colony and the prisoners who mocked other convicted criminals. Earlier, the head of the Irkutsk SIZO-1 was dismissed, his deputy was dismissed, as well as the deputy head of the correctional colony No. 6.
