The son of the NKVD officer Alexey Mityushov filed a police complaint against Denis Karagodin, who was investigating the death of his great-grandfather in 1938. According to Mityushov, the information that his father's signature is under the execution act discredits the NKVD officer.

Mityushov is sure that the “profile of an NKVD officer” published on the website karagodin.org discredits his late father, an inspector of the 8th registration department of the NKVD (People's Commissariat of Internal Affaires) Administration for the Novosibirsk region of the USSR.

At the same time, the founder of the site replies that all the data was taken only from official documents that were obtained from the FSB, the military prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and various state municipal and political archives.

"The source of information published in it (profile - editor's note) is official documents. For each stated fact in Mityushov's dossier there is a corresponding official document of the Russian Federation confirming this fact", - Karagodin points out.

On March 2, during interrogation by the police, Denis Karagodin confirmed that he had information about the NKVD officer Mityushov, who took part in the murder of his great-grandfather. However, Karagodin refused to testify, referring to Article 51 of the Constitution.

On his website, he published all the documents used in the investigation into the circumstances of the death of Stepan Karagodin's great-grandfather, who was shot in 1938. According to the author of the investigation, it is also important to talk about ordinary employees who “simply put their signatures” on documents. On the pages of his website, he published a dossier not only on Mityushov, but also on every NKVD officer involved in the death of his great-grandfather. Moreover, she “physically killed” Stepan Karagodin, says Denis Karagodin, “according to the documents, she is a modest typist”, but in fact, the “woman-executioner” Yekaterina Noskova. She, the author pointed out, "was awarded a military award for this - a military medal".

It is noteworthy that the granddaughter of another NKVD officer contacted Karagodin to thank him for the investigation and to apologize.
